Meet Our Friends: Fred Crossley

30 Mar

Poppin’ Fresh, Toronto’s own New Brunswick born n’ bred DJ of the night. That makes sense, right?

How do we know Fred? Because we’re out partying every night, obvi. And because he went to high school with Him back when He had a chin strap, wore plaid in a non ironic way and didn’t do silly dances in our kitchen. Fred is a sparse, yet important and good looking part of our lives, and if you don’t believe us, check him out Monday nights at Czehoski and seem for yourself. Don’t eat the Ruffles All Dressed though. Those are for me.

As the second profilee in our new installment, please welcome friend with open arms – and ladies, he’s single.

1. How/When did you first meet Him or Her? If it’s boring, make it up!

I first met HIM in high school, when he was the “new kid” from Toronto. He had a fake ID and loved grand theft auto…fit right in.

First time I met HER was when HE brought HER to a basement poker game at some guys house. It was a big sausage fest, and I was exceptionally high at the time. I felt I made a poor first impression but we’re still hanging out, so I must have done something right!

2. What has been your favorite experience in Toronto?

Having more sex than previous cities I’ve lived in.

3. If you don’t want your future kids to know one thing about you, what would it be?

That my motto all through University was “aim low and succeed.”

4. What song do you want played at your funeral?

Tupac – Thugz Mansion (Acoustic Version) & Daft Punk – High Life… everyone is leaving.

5. If you could jump into anything, what would you jump into?

Worm Hole (the space kind)

And that’s DJ Poppin’ Fresh friends and foes. Check out his latest mix here – it sounds best with a vodka-cran in your hand.
